Jason Sharman, Griffith University, Australia
Professor Jason Sharman is a visiting scholar with the Department of Political Science at Barnard College, Columbia University. He graduated with his PhD in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999, before going on to work at American University in Bulgaria and the University of Sydney. In 2007 he took up a position at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. Sharman's research is currently focused on corruption, money laundering and tax havens, as well as the international relations of the early modern Indian Ocean. His seventh book, Global Shell Games: Experiments in Transnational Relations, Crime and Terrorism (co-authored with Michael Findley and Daniel Nielson), was published by Cambridge University Press in 2014.
