Paula Franzese, Adjunct Visiting Professor of Political Science, is part of a now-national conversation regarding New Jersey housing and hoped-for landlord-tenant reform. Her article, "The Implied Warranty of Habitability Lives: Making Real the Promise of Landlord-Tenant Reform," was first published in the Rutgers University Law Review in Fall 2016. Since then, Franzese's article has been explored on the BBC, NPR, and various other news media, and has been cited by Cory Booker, Senator of New Jersey. Senator Booker is now advocating for new federal legislation to protect tenants' rights.
